PMA 2009 Has Begun!
April 9, 2009 | Leave a Comment
On April 1st the PMA in the North American Region was officially launched! Preceding the launch, “kick-off” fellowships were held in 4 different locations where students reside (Houston, San Antonio, Ensenada and Puerto Rico). For the next 4 months, 15 students from our Region (with the help of 6 mentors) will be participating in at-home study classes, and assignments based on that input, to help them to professionalize their lives as missionaries. This year there are 2 courses available: “Building a Flock” and “Cultivating Supporters”, with more courses to be added in the future. If participating in the PMA sparks your interest, be sure to check back here on the BOB for announcements about next year’s semester. To the Homes that have students and mentors: Thank you for your support!
If you have any questions about the PMA (or even if you’re wondering what “PMA” stands for) click here, or write the CGO Board at: pma.na.cgo@famboard.com

Professional Missionary Academy (PMA) in 2009
December 5, 2008 | Leave a Comment
“This (PMA) course has changed my witnessing life completely.”
“If you want to build a flock and you never have before, you don’t know how, you feel nervous, left behind from the other brethren who are and all the word coming out about needing to; the PMA is for you!”
“My life change(d) completely from being a witnesser, to being a professional Christian psychologist and spiritual counselor, and seeing how easy it is to transition into follow up when approaching people in that role.”
“I am thankful that I have learned all that I have, because now I feel more confident in teaching my daughters how they too as little missionaries can make a difference through their lives and interactions with others.”
“I believe that this PMA course has somehow ‘lit my fuse’ to be an instant witness and let my light shine before others, that they may come to know HIM in a personal way.”
Those are only a few of the reactions from the 30-plus students who completed the PMA in North America this past year. If this sparks your interest, then read on! YOU can also have your chance to be a part of the PMA in 2009. The semester will begin approximately April 2nd 2009 and end July 31st, with the Graduation Event taking place at the end of August.
Since tuition is required for the PMA, we wanted to let you know about it in case you want to start sending funds aside for it now. More information will be given regarding the PMA in January. We’re praying that you all have a power-packed, and witness-filled Christmas season!
With much love,
Your NA CGO Board
P.S. Stay tuned for the “North America PMA Video”, coming at ya’ll shortly!

CGO Tidbits
September 26, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Hey All!
Have you ever wished there was a simple way to explain about the 12 Foundation Stones course to someone that you meet out witnessing? Have you ever avoided telling someone about the course because your explanation might come out sounding like this:
“Well it’s this really cool course, kinda’ like a Bible Study. It has to do with stones. Umm, there are 12 of ‘em.”
Well, did you know there’s a flyer which explains the 12 FS classes in an excellent way? You can download it from the MO site by clicking here.
Hey, why not try printing out a bunch to bring with you each time you go out!
A very smart person said:
“To make the course more attractive and especially to, as much as possible, break out of the churchy twist that a “Bible course†could put in a person’s mind, when first presenting this course it is important to explain it as a means to, for example, “improve your quality of life,†or share how the course includes “keys for happier living,†or is “something you need to help you in your personal, professional and social life,†or something similar.
To find out who said that, and other really smart things, check out the CGO Board Handbook (section: Teaching the 12 Foundation Stones)
Stay tune for more CGO tidbits…

LNF — Two Week Extension for PMA Applications
March 13, 2008 | Leave a Comment
From the NA CGO RBCs
Hi everyone! We wanted to thank everyone who has written in and signed up for the PMA – we know the course will be life-changing & well worth the investment of your time! Remember that we have limited space for students – so please take time to hear from the Lord and counsel with your Home about whether YOU should enroll in the PMA this year. Since many of you have asked for an extension of time to submit your PMA applications, we wanted to let you know that you have two more weeks to discuss your plans with your Home, P&P your decision and send in your application – and we hope this is a help to you! The new deadline for applications to be in is April 1st – TYJ!

Witnessing testimonies from Jonathan
February 11, 2008 | Leave a Comment
I have found the calendar “Mottos for Success” to be a great witnessing tool. Not only do people love them for themselves but many will buy them for gifts for friends and employees. A beauty salon operator and an architect give them to their clients as their way of witnessing to them.
One day while doing follow up at a local beauty salon, I was led to show the open calendar to a lady customer (I usually hold the open calendar to certain day), but on this day the customer looked at the quote and then excused herself and left the room in tears! I asked the owner “What happened?” and she said, “The quote you showed her was on her birthday and for some reason it broke her heart”. She came back five minutes later and she and other customers purchased several calendars and CD’s and Activated mags! I told her “The Lord must really love you to have me come all the way over here to show you this quote” I also just found out that the owner of this shop has about 20 ladies coming over every week for prayer and bible studies and she uses our material to teach them and she also plays our “Fear Not” CD to her clients. It’s so inspiring to see so many people falling in love with our tools. What a privilege it is to be able to distribute these to the waiting world. (by the way, the quote was from Mottos #2 for April 24th)

From the NA Regional CGO Board
Dearest NA Family,
WLY so much & are so thankful to be fighting these exciting Endtime battles alongside each one of you! Here is a beautiful promise from our Dearest Love that was given in the Letter “Celebrating 2006â€: Jesus: “As I promised you long ago, My church of Philadelphia, I will set before you an open door and no man will be able to shut it. This coming year is the wonderful beginning of that open door, My darlings. If you will believe, and if you will cling to Me and the power that is within your hand, that promise will translate into many mighty doors opened unto you. And I will even go so far as to say that if you believe, no door will be closed to you.â€
